Q: Mud tires For a 2002 Ford F150 Super cab 5 Lug?
I need to know the maxium size mud tires I can get that will fit without any modifacations for my 2002 Ford F150 Super cab 5 lug. I need them to fit on my stock ford rims , I have (P255/70 R16) size tires on there now.
A: without a lift 245/75 r16, 235/85r16 and 265/75r16 will fit, but with some mud packed on the fenders your mudflaps will be at risk if you want them. I run lt 245/75 r16 hankook dynapro RT04 mt's on mine because even with the fenders full of mud they can still turn side to side without any damage and threy're nowhere near as oddball a size as the 255( only 1/2 " taller but skinnier), my buddy had lt265/75 r16 bfg mt's on his but one afternoon while playin they decided to claim his lower bumper plastic while turning a corner in a muddy trail so he went to lt235/85r16 hankooks too( same height as the 265 but skinnier for turning) and so far only lost a mudflap.I've seen some with 285's on but it's pretty tight, no good for 4byin. but I also know a chick with a 02 supercrew with a 3" body lift, she runs 285's and has no problems.Also make sure to buy "LT" tires instead of "P" tires, they do cost a little more for the same size tire but you get deeper treads for more traction and life and you also get more plies in the tire so they are stronger, resist punctures better. hope this helped!
Q: windows will not roll up on 2002 ford f150?
windows will not roll up on 2002 ford f150 and when I turn on the truck I hear a noise under the hood. Is there a fulse under the hood? or do I need to change the window relay in the fuse box since there is no fuse?
A: Sometimes opening and closing the doors cause the wires from the door to body of vehicle to bend and break, disabling your power windows, check these wires, if broken they need to be rejoined, by a professional! It could be a fuse or relay or switch, most likely wiring!

What are the measurement of a 2002 Ford F150 2WD Regular Cab rear window? I am making a design for a window decal and need measurements to center the image. Please provide height & width at furthest point measurements.

Q: I am trying to put a radio out of a 2002 Ford F150 into a 1998 Ford expedtion. Any ever done it before?
The radio fits. I am just having problems matching color for color. As I am assuming the radio that was in it was just a radio/cassette and I am putting in a radio/CD.

A: The connections are different.. without the print out from the 2002 truck and the 1998 expedition, it will be a nightmare as Ford sometimes changes colors over a few years...
Best to have instead just got one aftermarket or a cd player from a 1999 if I remember it correctly

Q: 2002 Ford F150 Supercrew fx4 makes a rattling noise when it starts...Why? How can I fix this?
It almost sounds like the starter is engaged too long or the noise when you try to start a running car...Any Ideas?
It makes the noise for about 3-5 seconds when starting then goes away.
A: a couple things come to mind right off-could be a bad bendix or the starter has worked its self loose-or -does the noise go away when the oil pressure comes up-then you are looking at rod bearings
Q: Where are the Transmission Mounts on a 2002 Ford F150 4x4?
I have a broken mount acording to the mechanic, I crawled under and cound not identify them. Also how much (ballpark) should it cost to replace them?

A: There should only be one transmission mount. (2 engine mounts, 1 tranny) The mount itself is about $15 at any major autoparts store.
That job is not too bad. Disconnect the mounting bolts, jack the tranny/transfer case up a little, remove it from the transmission and replace it. I highly recommend you do it yourself if you have some automotive repair ability and some tools. (Basic wrenches, sockets, jack stands, and a jack)
I wouldn't pay anymore than $200 for that job and that'd be TOPS. It should reasonably be more like $150.

I have a 2002 Ford F150 supercab 4x4 and I am wondering what years are compatible to exchange parts for mine. I would like to exchange the seats,door panels,carpet,engine trans from a F150 XLT
A: Actually it's 1999-2004 heritage models
Some stuff also interchanges witht he 1997 and 1998 models but to be absolutely sure it's 1999-2004 (In 2004, it's the heritage edition only)
Q: 2002 Ford F150 turns over but won't start.?
I have a 2002 Ford F150 V6 truck. When I turn the key, it will turn over but will not start. Fuel is making it to the fuel rails. Both of the large relays under the hood click like crazy in sequence with each other. Changed both of the relays and they still click. It all started after I unhooked the battery and changed the MAF sensor. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
A: what about the module?, are you getting fire at the plugs?. you say gas is to the fuel rail, check the fuel pump regulator, it might be bad and not letting the gas to reach the injectors.
Q: How do I change a fuel filter in a 2002 Ford F150?
A: It has somw quick connect end on the fuel lines you need to go to your local autopart store and buy a special tool thats disconnects them. I think it costs 10-20 bucks. I you tell them you are changing the fuel filter on a ford they'lll know what tool you need.

Does anyone know if the 4.6L Crankshaft Damper/Pulley bolt is torque specific on a 2002 Ford F150 4.6L engine
I should have asked it a little different, I am wondering if I can use the same bolt again on the crankshaft or do I need to get a new one after one use.
A: The bolt head is 18mm (which I'm sure you are already aware). It is also reusable. The Ford workshop manual procedure is to apply silicone to the woodruff key and install/secure pulley and bolt within 4 minutes of application. The torque spec is as follows:
Stage 1: Tighten to 90 Nm (66 lb-ft).
Stage 2: Loosen the bolt.
Stage 3: Tighten to 50 Nm (37 lb-ft).
Stage 4: Tighten an additional 85-90 degrees.

A: It depends on which Axle (rear End) you have.
If you have the 8.8/9.75 ring gear diameter axle, then you will need 5.5 pints. If you have the Larger 10.25 ring gear diameter then it takes 6.9 pints. If you have the traction Lock differential, you must add 8 oz of the friction modifier additive.
A metal tag is attached to one of the rear cover bolts which will show the model, date ,ratio, ring gear diameter/Ring gear size and production plant.

Q: 2002 Ford F150 Mud Tires Swap?
I am wondering what size mud tire 33,34,35,36, etc I can use if any on my 2002 Ford F150 supercabs original rims that are 16x7. And will I have to raise the truck up to fit the new tires?
A: If its a 2WD then a leveling kit (less than $200)and 33's would look great on the truck. Its is 4WD you can fit 33's stock and 35's with a body lift. Or if you want a 6" suspension lift you can fit 35's. Or do what i have and install a 6" suspension and 3" body with 38's.
