Q: I have a 2006 Ford F150 Lariat. What are the holders for on the inside lid of the center console?
My question is about the floor console between the front seats. When you open the console there are two compartments located on the inside of the armrest. They appear to have some purpose I have yet to figure out. Any suggestions are welcome!
A: If you're talking about the 2 clips on the front of the tissue dispenser.... they can hold pen or pencil.
Q: Does anyone know where the computer module located in a 2006 Ford F150 supercrew?
This computer module is supposed to have a code written on it for the keyless entry system. Thanks,
A: The computer that controls your keyless entry system is called a Vehicle Security Module. On a Supercrew F-150 the module is accessed by removing the rear seatback. Once removed you'll need to remove the trim panel behind that. With the trim panel removed, you'll see the module with three electrical connectors to it, coloured green, grey and blue. The label will have a part number similar to 6L3E-15K602-AA (not sure of the numbers before or after the hyphens, but I know 15K602 is correct). On that label are FIVE numbers, which are your keyless entry keypad code. Hope this helps.
Q: What is the length of the powertrain warranty vs bumper-to-bumper warranty for a 2006 Ford F150??
Had my 06 F150 hydrolock and bend the rods after one of the faulty injectors stuck open and dumped gas into the #6 cylinder... 56,000 miles on it... Its bad when the engine wears out before the first set of tires...
Thanks guys,

A: Its same as bumper to bumper which is 3yr/36k mile. Only the diesel has a separate power train warranty which is 100k. And yes it is bad that the motor went out after 50k

Q: How to remove/install original oem cd changer on a 2006 ford f150 truck?
A: Im looking for it too. I found this site if you want to pay the 4.00 for it. http://www.carstereoremoval.com/htm/stereoremovalFordF15004_05P.htm
Ive installed many radios and i just bought a brand new f150 so i didnt want to dmg anything but basically ford has designed this just like my old mustangs radio. you have to carefully pry the face that surrounds your radio climate control, cigarrete lighter, etc. just follow the line. Ford uses there standard snap in technique as always to hold it in. My suggestions is to find a WIDE skinny tool to pry. A flat head screw driver will work but if you put to much pressure on an edge you might damage the face. Just basically work around the face, im going to wrap my tool in a cloth for less scratches and work gentle around the face. I dont know how many snaps there are but by basically looking at it i can honestly say its 4-6 snaps. Once you get one snap to "pop" youll be able to tell where the next snaps are by seeing where the line of the face plate is still flush to the console. Focus your tool at these spots and gentle work around till the whole console comes out. Carefully remove the face and look for any wires that are snapped into it (cig wire, climate control wires). Once you are free and clear and able to move the face, check the snaps to make sure none of them dropped down or off there locations for the reinstall. After this is done the rest is basic knowledge, well to me. There will be at least 4 bolts holding in the radio. Remove these and remove the radio. Same as the face plate remove the wiring harness from the back of the radio. Now your ready to install your new radio. Im currently bidding on EBAY for the 6 disc cd changer with mp3 player. I havent started my process but i hopefully ill hit on a bid soon so i can install my radio. Let me know if you have anymore questions. I know all about Radio Installations.

Q: how do i get the factory radio out of a 2006 ford f150?
the trim around the radio seems like it will break if pryed on does it just pull out?
A: You're right, but take a bent strong like hanger, slip behing the panel and give a quick jerk, the clips hold it tight. Panel snaps off then there are screws that hold the radio. There are 6 clips that hold the panel. Like you said you have to pull like you want to break it.

Q: where can i get a factory wiring harness for a 2006 ford f150 radioto add a sirius tuner?
A: You can go to your local ford dealership and the will go through the trouble in finding one if they don't have one in stock.
Q: Buy a 2006 Ford F150 or 2006 Chevy Silverado?
Honestly what is better chevy silverado or Ford F150? (for long time use)
A: I like Fords and would say it is best... but look at it like this, (and I do have a Chevy Silverado) if you want to do any work on it yourself when needed, get the Chevy. Fords are hard for a person to work on and a lot of parts are dealer parts only. The Chevy will rust out before the Ford so that is a plus for the Ford. Since I have had Ford and Chevy, I do like both, but still like the Fords, but am sure you would be happy with either.
Q: I have a 2006 ford f150 engine locked up from leaking injector will warrenty cover it? 56,000 miles on truck?
Truck has original warranty no extended. Truck is at ford dealer what is the powertrain warranty for this engine. The dealer said i am out of luck and the dealer said and showed me the injector caused the problem which destroyed the motor. Now i have a $40,000.00 peice of junk which they will gladley trade it in for 7,000.00 go figure
A: a leaking fuel injector wont lock up a motor......
Q: What is the proper procedure for removing all door panels on a 2006 Ford F150 Supercab for speaker removal?
A: I did this just two weeks ago but i have forgotten exactly what you should do. (i work on to many different cars to remember)
Let me see, first remove Philips head screws that are visible in the door panel. Now you have to remember I have worked on two Chev. and a couple dodges since, so I may be getting all these vehicles all mixed up. Now if I remember right you need to remove the inside door handle, you will need a 10mm socket w/extension, the bolt is right behind the handle, like inside the door panel. Now up by the door glass opposite of the out side mirror, if you didn't have a screw there you will need to pop that part of the door panel out. Use a door panel tool, if you don't have one use a standard screw driver. I'm sorry, before that you need to pull out the little switch panel, that's the little panel that has your window, door lock switches, if you have power? Unplug these switches. After all this is done you need to lift the door panel strait up, don't pull it out toward you, there are plastic arms that slip into the door. All the other doors should be similar in procedure. Again I apologize if any info was inaccurate.
Q: What stereo should I put in my 2006 F150?
I have had my truck, a 2006 Ford F150 for about a year and was wanting to upgrade my stereo and speakers and wanted to know what to put in. Its a completely stock single cab.
A: Put an Alpine deck in it then put in infinitey speakers, u will just have to decide which type of speakers u will want, infinity makes about 4 different speakers, this is the stereo i have in my truck and it sounds awsome, and u can if u want to put a subwoofer in it to, i recommend mtx or rockford for subs
Q: How to remove the CD player from 2006 Ford F150?

Q: how to install brake pads on a 2006 ford f150 truck?

Q: How to verify mileage on a 2006 ford f150 digital odometer?
Can anyone tell me how I can verify the digital mileage reading on a 2006 ford f150. I want to buy this used truck but is there anyway to check to see if the owner pulled the fuse to stop the mileage or some way to verify the mileage without putting the vehicle on a diagnostics computer to do a read out (will that even verify the true mileage if the fuse was pulled) can anyone help?
People keep telling me to hit the odometer reset button twice but nothing changes it just bounces back and forth between the tactometer and the odometer. Is that what everyone keeps talking about, if the odometer is wrong it will change when I switch between these two?
A: What fuse? The digital readout comes from the ECU. The ECU power cannot be interrupted without the car dying. If you get a computer dump from the dealer it will verify everything that has happened to the truck since new. If you don't want to do that push the mileage reset button twice to see how far the truck has traveled since 0 miles.
