A: I installed cruise on my F150. Ford makes factory cruise kits for your truck so check on EBay that's where I got mine. If you are mechanically inclined and can read instructions it is not that hard or pay someone to install it. I paid $140 for mine at the ford dealer they wanted $450 so keep looking you will find one.

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, the odometer and windshield wipers, and the bell sound when your seatbelt buckle isn't buckled doesn't work? I have checked the blade fuses under the hood and in the fuse panel. They all test good, there are larger fuses (black square ones) under the hood that I don't know how to test. I amagine it is a fuse because they all stop working around the same time. Can anyone tell me what would make them work again or where I should be looking for the problem?
A: it has to be a fuse, maybe you miss it when you check every one of them. Why dont you give a call your Local NAPA store or PEP BOYS. They could tell you which one it is. Or check your owners manual in the last page it shows you which fuse goes where and when to replace.

I have a 2001 ford ranger edge and i got a check engine light come on the other day. I went to go check it at my buddies work and he said it was P1400. But it was a manufacture control code. Can any tell me what that is.

We are trying to get to the door speaker but cant figure out how to remove the window handle so we can remove the door panel.
A: the handle has an allen head or torx screw in the shoulder of handle.

I dont need anything special just enough to listen to my music loud without blowing the speakers.
A: Go and grab the alpine s series speakers. They are amazing for the money. Best bang for the buck if your looking for a basic replacement with a more than basic sound at a resonable entry level price range. Pioneer are cheap anyway.

After I crank up my truck, my engine cuts off, but if I give it a little gas, it stays on. Also, while I am driving and come to a stop, it cuts off sometimes.
A: It may be a clogged fuel injector or a fuel filter needs to be replaced.

A: Do you mean heater or defroster? If it is your defroster it could be the Bering in the conditioner or it could be the blower motor.

I have a 2001 Ford Ranger Edge, the windshield wipers, door/seatbelt chime, and odometer/speedometer all stopped working at the same time. I checked all the fuses that would be related to those items (under the hood fuse panel and on the side of the dashboard fuse panel). All of them appeared to be in working order. The guy working at the Ford Dealership's parts counter told me it could also be the GEM module. What would cause all of the items listed above to stop working?
A: Check all your grounds uder the dash close to your steering collum and under the hood close to the wiper motor if you checked the fueses its a ground just start at one side of the truck and wiggle all the grounds with the key and wipers turned on if thay come on when you move a conection then you'll know witch one it is .
also I don't know how you checked your fueses but try checking them with a test light incase a fuse is plowen in a spot you can't see GOOD LUCK BRAD A
Q: 2001 Ford Ranger 4 Wheel Drive Locking?
I have a 2001 Ford Ranger 100,000 miles. I have had to change the computer module at 60,000 miles as it quit working.
But now, when in reverse in 4x4, it seems like the emergency brake is on. Yesterday, in 4x4 on slick streets, it sort of locked and lunged... Anyone else ever see this?

Sorry, no, it was an icy road... packed snow..
Also, it doesn't do it in 2x4 when backing or it never jumps or bucks like it did.
A: you should check your front diffrention it might be lock up or it might not have oil and check your read end too good luck
Q: Hot to remove the rear jumper seats in 2001 Ford Ranger?
i need to remove the rear seats of my 2001 Ford Ranger XLT but can't seem to figure out how. and yes, i searched google extensively before i came here.
A: they unbolt. The seats are flip fold and there should be bolts under the bottom of the seat to remove them. You should need a torx socket to remove the bolts. Here is what I found for you on the ranger forum
Just did it this weekend to install a toolbox for comealong, chains, offroad gear.
Remove jack cover and tools, remove several hex bolts from base, easy.
You will need torx for jump seats. Plastic trim below jump seat snaps off with only one plastic plug fastener each side. If you remove jump seat pivot bolts first, it make some of the base bolts easier to remove. Base bolts aremix oh hex and torx. The torx in corner for seatbelt were a BEAR, rusted in place. almost broke my 3/8" drive gear. finally got it by whacking repeatedly with cold chisel to loosen,and an extension on 3/8" ratchet handle. 1/2" drive would be better for the stuck ones.
