A: I agree with what the other guy said. HPTuners is what the big names are using along with LS1 Edit. Check out Performancetrucks.net, they have a bunch of info about using HPTuners to tune. A: You will need a laptop, of course, and a GM tuning suite. I prefer EFI Live, it has countless tables you can modify. Cost is about $800 if you want to do it yourself, or you can find a GM LS (Corvette, Camaro, Firebird/Trans Am) based tuner in your area for around $400 or so.

A: The truck is probably wired for a brake controller but you have to supply the control head yourself. Check with a trailer supplier and tell them what your planning to tow. They will advise you as to what you need to 'outfit' your truck.

A: Im sure that if you take it to any Chevy or GMC dealership they will work on it for you. if not then you can usually find a small local shop that has a diesel mechanic in the yellow pages or by calling around to the different shops. thats what i had to do with my Ford F350 when i moved to a new area and they wanted to charge an arm and a leg at the ford dealership in the city that i moved to.

a friend of mine is buying a 2006 GMC Sierra Z71 and i would like to know how the Bose sound system performs.....Is it true that the Bose 6 cd changer will play cd's that have MP3'S sotred on them?????
A: The Bose system is awesome. I had it in my 05 Sierra and i loved it. Some of the Bose cd changers will play the mp3 disc but some wont. it should say "MP3" on the face of the radio if it will.

i plan to change the oil after work, i think i can 5 quarts of 20w-50 and a new filter, i need help finding and the right wrench size to remove the bolt
A: Your first do it yourself oil change? You should have a socket set and use the socket that fits the bolt. You also need an oil filter wrench.

Raced it and beat it by a fender it was a pretty close race, I was spinning out of the whole but once it went to second i was ahead..
A: For the love of god!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are kidding right? If some idiot with a diesel truck wants to race you in your camao, I pray you put a good chunk of money on it! The truck is geared for towing/hauling heavy loads. The camaro is geared for hauling @$$. Granted the trucks have a lot better performance than they used to, but by the time you hit second gear, it should pretty well be over as you stare at him in the rear view mirror. If he wants to race pulling loaded horse trailers, turn him down.

A: Call a local dealership and ask they should be able to tell you for sure. I really don't think you can unless you have a plug to connect your MP3 to the bose system. Good Luck.

I paid cash for the truck, have the 6 year warranty, but I do not want my warranty cancelled if I do something wrong.
A: Two things to check... the warrantee center for the truck, and the local DMV to see if it's legal. Believe it or not, some states deem it illegal because it "changes the exhaust emission system". If the truck had a factory option of dual exhaust it shouldn't be a problem, but better safe than sorry.

The Sierra Denali was initially equipped with Delphi's Quadrasteer system as standard equipment. For the '07 model year, the Sierra Denali shares the same bullet grille from the other Denali models, and also has the same dash as the '07 SUV's. Q: I want to get a system in my 2006 GMC Sierra, but I have bose. What should I get?
A: Personally, I like infinity speakers with JL subs. I have 4 6.5" inifinity's with turn around tweeters in my car with two 10" mtx sub woofers and they sound perfect. I also have a kenwood amp and a JVC radio set. Some might think mixing and matching parts isn't good, but it works for me...haven't had any problems at all with the system and I installed it myself! I would suggest you get good quality parts..for speakers I suggest name brand stuff like infinities or anything like that. I tried pioneers, but I didn't like the way they sounded... for subs I would suggest JL's or MTX...I have tried both and both are great... for amps, I have tried out JL's (which are super expensive, but good) and Kenwood, which is the one I have in my car...I wouldn't try kenwood for anything else, as I have heard some bad things about their head units and speakers. I would also suggest against getting anything Sony..it just isn't good. For the head units I would try to get something like JVC, thought they aren't great for the radio, mainly for playing cd's...hope that helps...also make sure they use good quality wiring for your system! Get some 10" subs..or a bazooka tube (THEY are LOUD!)personally I just go with the old style sealed box, which is gives good accurate bass.
